There is a massive shift happening in television. TV programs are largely becoming 13 hour movies; they’re better made and cater to a more film-savvy audience that is looking for a more sophisticated story-line. The addition of digital distribution is largely taking audience attention away from going to the movies to see anything other than tentpoles or movies that are best seen in a crowd (comedy, horror) or on a big screen (action, sweeping cinematography).

Navid McIlhargey, President of Film Engine, will give a brief overview of the evolution of film over the past several years discussion similarities to the evolution the  music business went through previously.

Navid will discuss the "13 hour movies" that are now being show on digital distribution platforms and how it affects distribution for movies and what will be the future of global theatrical distribution. He will then open up the floor to questions about the changing face of the "film" business and what it means for filmmakers and producers.
